Mountain Miles & Montana Pints.
Experience the Flathead Valley from a whole new perspective at the Blacktail Climb on October 3rd —a cycling event that blends endurance, elevation, and incredible views. Set against the backdrop of Blacktail Mountain, this mixed pavement and gravel course challenges riders while rewarding every mile with sweeping overlooks of Flathead Lake, crisp autumn air, and vibrant fall color.
Hosted by the Lakeside Somers Chamber of Commerce, this event brings together riders, businesses, and community members in a celebration of both cycling culture and connection. The day doesn’t end at the finish line. The Blacktail Climb rolls straight into Tamarackoberfest: a lively outdoor after-party at Tamarack Brewing Company (all are welcome).
